After completing his degree in 1990 in economics with a specialization in finance, Alessandro Canta began his professional career in 1991 as cost controller for Esso Italiana S.p.A. In December 1993 he joined the finance department of Enel as winner of a contest for specialized resources in corporate finance. After having held various positions in financial operations, risk management and hedging activities, in December 2000 he become Head of Treasury and Capital Markets of the Enel Group and subsequently in August 2009 Head of Group Finance. He is Chairman of Enel Finance International S.A. member of the board of directors of Enel Factor, Enel Greenpower International B.V., Slovenske Elektrarne B.V.,Fopen (Employee’s Pension Fund) and Fisde. He is also member of the financial committee of Eufer and Galsi.
