Alex has over 20 year's corporate treasury experience and has worked in several different industries in that time. He is Group Treasurer of Al Muhaidib Group (AMG), a large diversified investment holding company located in Saudi Arabia, whom he joined in 2009 with responsibility for all treasury activities. 

Prior to joining AMG, Alex spent over 7 years as Group Treasurer at Virgin Atlantic where he was responsible for all global treasury activities, including funding, risk management, investments, cash management and card acquirering. Prior to joining Virgin Alex was Group Treasurer at the Thresher group and before that at Al Ghanim Industries based in Kuwait.

The Al Muhaidib Group is an international private group of companies based in Saudi Arabia that was founded in 1946 by Sheikh Abdul Kadir bin Abdul Muhsin Al-Muhaidib. Its main interest was selling wholesale building materials and foodstuffs. A.K. Al-Muhaidib & Sons group of companies began its life in the food products industry in 1959, marketing and distributing rice. This sector has remained the fastest-growing within the group, allowing the company to expand its portfolio to include other grains and eventually leading to the establishment of a retail outlet chain, Giant Stores.
