David is the leader of the PwC UK treasury advisory team. He has significant experience in international corporate treasury and cash issues from his fifteen years in treasury and finance roles at Tate & Lyle Plc, including a period in the West Indies, followed by thirteen years with PwC.
In his role at PwC David works with many corporate, public sector and financial services clients with varying treasury related risks and issues. For example he has just completed the implementation of a global treasury and payment factory for a middle east based global oil business and the treasury carve out of a non core business from a large UK bank. Heis currently working with a multi-national industrial business to define its global treasury framework and a media business develop its treasury systems environment.
In addition to his advisory role David is a member of the PwC Treasury Committee and oversees a PwC in house treasury team which is responsible for managing the significant amounts of cash collected from administrations and insolvencies on a day to day basis, foremost amongst these are the Lehman administration monies.
David is a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (AMCT) and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (FCMA).
