As Group Treasurer, Harjeet leads the financing, capital structure & raising, currency and interest risk management, investments management, and stakeholders’ management – across ratings, debt & equity investors for Bharti group, on a global basis. As a key member of the core team at Bharti, he worked on the $10.7Bn acquisition transaction, of Zain Africa, including $9Bn of financing in term loan market, an outright term financing, flexible in terms and at very fine rates executed in a rather timid market environment. Over the last 1 year, post acquisition, he has effectively worked on large scale African debt and capital restructuring enabling superior business growth.

Prior to joining Bharti group about 3 years ago, he has 12 years of corporate & investment banking experience at Citigroup, across business build-outs (SME), product structuring, sales, capital markets, market management. Having played a Trusted Advisor to clients across their organic as well as strategic needs,  Harjeet carries the expertise across debt, equity and hybrids in the public and private space
