Speaker profile

Matthew joined Intertek in 2010 assuming the role of Group Treasurer in 2011.  His last twelve months have been focused on refinancing Intertek’s maturing debt facilities and the funding of the group’s recent £450m acquisition of Moody International.  Prior to joining Intertek, Matthew spent three years in treasury with FTSE 100 miner Kazakhmys Plc focusing on project financing.  He began his career in New Zealand with Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young and has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration Hons from Victoria University in Wellington.  Matthew is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
