Simon has responsibility for the provision of advisory services to RBS FI clients in relation to key industry and regulatory developments, together with responsibility for shaping and driving the market and business strategy for the GTS FI business. Simon has worked across a number of divisions within RBS, including senior roles in relationship management, product development/management and payment industry and legislative strategy.

In the external market, Simon has extensive experience within the European payment industry, with current external positions held including: Member of the European Commission's Payment Systems Market Expert Group (PSMEG); Member of the European Payments Council's (EPC’s) SEPA Payment Schemes Working Group; Chair of the UK Payments Council's PSD Working Group; and Member of the European Banking Federation's Payments Regulatory Expert Group (PREG).
