Tim Harford is a senior columnist for the Financial Times. He presents the BBC's "More or Less", which won awards for excellence in journalism from the Royal Statistical Society in 2010 and 2011. Tim also won the 2006 Bastiat Prize for economic journalism and was runner-up in 2010. His first book, “The Undercover Economist” has sold one million copies worldwide in almost 30 languages. His most recent book, "Adapt: Why Success Always Starts With Failure", was published in the summer of 2011. His writing has also appeared in Esquire, Forbes, Wired, New York Magazine, the Guardian, the London Times, the Washington Post and the New York Times.
In 2011 Tim was named one of the UK’s top 20 most influential people on Twitter by The Independent newspaper.
Tim has previously worked for Shell and the World Bank, and was a member of the Financial Times editorial board from 2006-2009. He is a visiting fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford, a senior visiting fellow at Cass Business School.
